Alumnus Morris to Participate in Nordic Urban Lab Panel

Alumnus Chris Morris will be attending a conference on behalf of the architecture firm, Arkkitehtitoimisto ALA Oy, to join an Urban Lab in Brampton, Ontario in discussing solutions to North American cities in the context of Nordic urbanism and sustainability September 10-12, 2019. Morris will be sitting on a panel discussion with Nordic experts to discuss development for complete communities, affordability, and transformation. A keynote will be given by Jani Moliis, who is part of the City of Helsinki’s Department of Economic Affairs (Elinkeino-ostasto) as the Head of International Affairs (yksikön päällikkö – Kansainväliset asiat), followed by the panel discussion moderated by Ken Greenberg, Principal, Greenberg Consultants, ULI Advisory Board.

Chris Morris received his B.A. as a dual major in Finnish and Scandinavian Area Studies, 2013, as well as a Masters of Architecture (M.Arch), 2017 from the University of Washington. He has been working for the architecture firm Arkkitehtitoimisto ALA Oy, who is responsible for the winning and completion of the new Oodi library in Helsinki, as well as the Helsinki Airport Terminal 2 Expansion, currently in progress.
