Photos from a 12-day roundtrip cruise of the Norwegian coast, Bergen/Kirkenes/Bergen, on the Hurtigruten ship "Nordnorge" in September, 2015, by Professor Terje Leiren. Working with Hurtigruten, during the cruise Professor Leiren gave several lectures on the themes "Viking Coast" and "Heroes of World War II."

Hurtigruten's eleven ships sail daily from Bergen, stopping at 34 ports-of-call in the course of its 12-day voyage. The lifeline for many small coastal villages visited, Hurtingruten has played a vital role in the life of western Norway since 1893. Today, tourists and local passengers alike are treated to some of the most spectacular scenery during what has frequently been called "the most beautiful voyage in the world.
