Recent MA Ethan Bjelland Hagberg (continuing on to PhD in performance studies at UW), PhD student Lianna Torres, and Associate Professor Olivia Noble Gunn traveled to Zurich for the International Ibsen Conference, hosted by the Department of German and Scandinavian Studies at the University of Zurich. They presented their research on queer orientations in The Wild Duck, embodying Ibsen's silences at the Norwegian National Ballet, and adapting Hedda Gabler to the American screen, respectively. They made lovely connections with colleagues from across the globe and beat the heat by swimming in Lake Zurich. Thanks are due to the organizers in Zurich and to the members of the International Ibsen Committee!
