Fulbright Hildeman Scholar Teaches Course on Sustainability in Contemporary Scandinavian Literature

This Spring Quarter, Fulbright Hildeman Scholar, Professor Olavi Hemmilä will be teaching a course that offers the opportunity to study contemporary Scandinavian literature from the perspective of sustainability. Nature and its relation to society lays a prominent part in the history of Scandinavian literature. The formation of a sustainable society is to a large extent the result of conscious choices between alternative ways of telling stories about the world. The course is being offered to Undergraduates (SCAND 490 A: Special Topics) and to Graduates (SCAND 590: A Special Topics).
