Maren Anderson Johnson Appointed Nadia Christensen Scholar

Maren Anderson Johnson, a doctoral candidate in Norwegian studies, has been selected to be the Nadia Christensen Scholar in Nordic Studies for 2013-2014.  Johnson is currently in Norway where she is researching her dissertation topic of the question of literary genius in Scandinavian literature.

 

The Nadia Christensen Endowment for Excellence in Nordic Studies was established through a generous grant from the Hognander Family Foundation of Minneapolis in honor of Dr. Nadia Christensen, a doctoral graduate of the University of Washington. The award is made annually to a graduate student in the department based on academic performance and scholarship as well as classroom and teaching perfomance, service and collegiality.
