On April 7th, the Department of Scandinavian Studies held our Spring Scholarship Breakfast to congratulate this year's scholarship winners and have a morning of thanks and celebration. The timing -- the day after Husky Giving Day -- really demonstrated in a tangible way how your generosity benefits the department. We had 25 scholarship funds represented, some with multiple recipients, which is crucial financial support for undergraduate and graduate study both here at the UW and for study abroad programs.
The morning was truly a great success -- so many scholarship recipients were able to attend, as well as various faculty members and even some of our generous donors who provide some of our many endowment funds that allow us to grant deserving students this kind of support.
