Community members gathered around UW's Drumheller Fountain on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at 2:00 pm, to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of the Baltic Way.
Back in 1989, a million people joined hands in a 600-kilometer chain through the capital cities of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, nonviolently asserting the right to free speech and free assembly, and demonstrating their desire for independence.
