You can help support students studying Finnish with contributions to the Kalevala Fund. The Kalevala scholarship provides funds for students to pursue summer study in Finland.

The Finnish Studies Endowment has also been started to support the lectureship, which the UW co-funds with the Finnish Ministry of Education (CIMO).

Our most recent fund, the Eero and Helli Tetri Endowed Fund for Finnish Studies, supports visits from Finnish lectureres, provides scholarships and assists Finnish faculty in outreach to increase awareness of the Finnish Program.

You can contribute to all of these funds online.

Checks can also be made payable to the University of Washington Foundation and are to be sent to the Department of Scandinavian Studies, University of Washington, Box 353420, Seattle, WA 98195-3420. Please mark checks Kalevala Fund, Finnish Studies Endowment, or Tetri Fund.
