Katherine Larson is the author of The Woven Coverlets of Norway (University of Washington Press, 2001; recipient of the R. L. Shep award). Her focus is Scandinavian women’s history as it intersects with the history of textiles and textile technology. Her current research concerns the ancient warp-weighted loom and its anomalous survival in 20th century Norway.
