As affiliate faculty, I occassionally assist the department with curriculum planning and community outreach. I have over fifteen years of experience working in higher education as an academic advisor, Swedish language teacher, and study abroad director. I am currently a PhD student in the Language Acquisition in Multilingual Settings (LAMS) Program at the University of the Basque Country, Spain. I earned my MA in Scandinavian Studies from the University of Washington; I also hold an MS in Education from Old Dominion University and teacher certifications in English, Humanities, and English Language Learning.
